About This Project

In 2016 Oliver Tambo Memorial Lecture was delivered was delivered by the Chief Justice of the Republic of South Africa, Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng. He said the prevailing circumstances in the country required people to stand up and speak out.
“Before I go any further let me make it very clear, it is a betrayal of the highest order of the legacy of OR Tambo, for any of us in the constitutional democracy that we now enjoy, because of his sacrifice, to be politically correct in circumstances where courage is called for.”

 

The audience was moved by the Chief Justice’s call to action to live their lives like Oliver Tambo.
